On the pitch it was a fairly good month with wins over Oldham, and Sheffield Wednesday in a game where Swindon were losing 2-0 with 12 minutes of normal time remaining before 3 late goals from Howard, Parkin, and Fallon made it a 3-2 Swindon win.

There were two 3-3 draws this month away to Stockport after Swindon had a 3-0 away lead Stockport came back with 3 late goals, and then in the home game against Torquay Swindon were leading 3-1 only for Torquay to come back to 3-3.

Other results this month saw Swindon pick up a 2-2 away to Barnsley, and lose only one game this month away to Port Vale 1-0, and beat Brentford 2-0 in a behind close doors friendly.

Also this month Swindon signed Christian Roberts from Bristol City for £50,000. On loan Paul Mitchell returned to Wigan, and Jamie McMaster returned to Leeds after getting injured against Barnsley.

Swindon signed defender Steve Jenkins on loan from Peterborough, who has since gone on to sign for Swindon full time. Alan Reeves' twin brother David was also linked with a move to the club, but this didn't happen.

After the failure of the Shaw tip stadium TrustSTFC were calling for the County Ground to be redeveloped which is still the prefered option today, but no work has yet begun.
