Alan Sheeham opened the scoring for Swindon after only 10 minutes with a goal from a tight angle from the edge of the box.
Swindon played well for the rest of the first half, but despite chances they were unable to double their lead.
In the second half Walsall looked alot better, and they tested David Lucas a number of times, forcing him into making a number of good saves.
On 70 minutes Reid made it 1-1 to put Walsall back into the game.
Then just as Walsall tried to get a winner Swindon broke away and Vincent Pericard was on hand to get his boot in the way and divert the ball into the back of the net to make it 2-1 to Swindon.
