Leeds United 1 Swindon 0

Leeds took an early lead after only 9 minutes when Micheal Ricketts scored from 10 yards out after beating Rhys Evans.
Swindon always looked as if they would get a goal back, but nearly gave away an own goal when Sean O'Hanlon headed the ball back only for it to hit the post.

In the second half Swindon came close to scoring after having a penalty decison turned down, Swindon were given a corner, but the ball was cleared away to safety.

Swindon also came close when the ball was crossed across the face of the goal, but there was no one on the back post to force the ball in.

In the last few minutes Swindon were given a corner kick, which Rhys Evans came up for trying to recreate when Paul Robinson had done to Leeds last season, and although Evans was able to get his head to the ball his shot went wide.

Overall a fairly good preformance by Swindon who really should have scored at least one goal, but as happened last year Leeds just managed to win.

Swindon's next game is at home to Bradford City on Saturday.
