430 Swindon fans made the long trip north to Darlington to see their 27,500 all seater stadium, although it was nearly empty with only 4,571 fans turning up.

Swindon took an early lead on 7 minutes with a free kick from 25 yards taken Paul Evans who scored from the kick after Darlington's keeper didn't even move. The kick was awarded after a foul on Christian Roberts who had to go off for treatment.

Swindon then went 2-0 up after 21 minutes with a goal from inside the box from Christian Roberts.

Darlington pulled a goal back just before half time with a close range effort by Giallanza making it 2-1 on 45 minutes.

In the second half score Swindon coming close a number of times to extending their lead but couldn't get a third goal.

Peter Brezovan did have to make a couple of good saves, but swindon held on to win 2-1 which overall was a good result and puts them top of the table with 4 league wins out of 4.
