Blackpool 1 Swindon 1

Luckly the weather stayed dry this season, as the Swindon fans were housed in the stand with no roof. This stand had just been rebuilt after a Luton fan fell through the floor a few weeks ago.

After early chances from both sides Blackpool took the lead after 33 minutes when Scott Taylor scored from 12 yards out.

Swindon also come very close to scoring in the first half when they hit the bar, the ball looked to then have crossed the line, but the goal was not given.

Blackpool thought they had had made it 2-0 early in the second half when they scored again, but luckly the linesman ruled the goal was offside.

The linesman gave Swindon a throwing, but the referee ruled that if was in fact a Blackpool throwing. This decision nearly cost Swindon a goal as again Blackpool came very close to scoring, but the ball was cleared away.

Swindon equaliser mid way through the second half when Henderson scored from a tight angle. It looked like they could have been a foul just before Swindon scored, but the referee didn't spot it so the goal stood.

Despite last chances from both sides the game ended in a 1-1 draw with leaves Swindon 11th in the table. Overall this was a fair result, as Swindon didn't look that good again, and Blackpool rarely looked like they were score a second goal.

Swindon's next game is on Tuesday night then they travel north again to face Leeds United in the second round of the Carling League Cup.
