The Scotland squad is made up of Under 21's and players who haven't yet played for the full Scottish team, but may be considered in the next couple of years.
Parkin who has scored 23 goals so far this season was born in England, but has Scottish family connections, so does qualify.
Parkin will fly out to Austria on Sunday after the Hull game, and should be back in time to face Tranmere at the County Ground next weekend.
